FCC2017 PREVIEW: Manitoba
One year after being hosts of the national championship, Manitoba comes into the 2017 Football Canada Cup in Wolfville hoping to improve on their previous performance.
Last year, Manitoba had two teams compete in the tournament. Both those teams placed fifth and eighth respectively.
This year, Manitoba will be down to one team and have several players on both sides of the ball that will help make the squad competitive.
Heading the offence are quarterbacks Reid Vankoughnett and Tyler Koniuk (who will also play wide receiver). Tre Hubbard, Breydon Stubbs, Tyler Fedak and Vaughan Lloyd will be expected to carry the offensive load for Manitoba.
Eric Bujalski, Tyrece Viner-Cox, Brice Verway and Noah Monney highlight Manitoba’s defence.
Anchoring the lines of scrimmage are Kieran Cummings, Tyson Spence and Brock Gutowski.
