Football Canada recognizes new BC provincial association
Football Canada welcomes the BC Provincial Football Association (BCPFA) as the recognized provincial governing body in British Columbia.
The BC group is in the initial stages of becoming an active and voting member of Football Canada.
The final step will occur at Football Canada’s annual general meeting (AGM) on June 18. As per Football Canada’s bylaws, current members must vote-in and recognize prospective provincial football associations at the national AGM.
Members of the BCPFA currently have the ability to participate in Football Canada programming and events such as the Flag Football National Championships.
“Becoming a full member of Football Canada is an important step for the continued development of football in the province of British Columbia,” BCPFA president, Frank Naso said. “We look forward to continuing to work with Football Canada to strengthen our sport across the country.”
The BC Provincial Football Association represents the BC Community Football Association, BC Football Conference (Junior), BC Football Officials Association and UBC Football.
