Football Canada in conjunction with its member provincial associations are hosting Competition-Development courses through the National Coaches Certification Program (NCCP). The training is restricted to current university, junior, cégep and provincial (e.g. Football Canada Cup) or national team football coaches, in addition to old NCCP level 3 and certified Competition-Introduction Head Coaches.
The training builds off a Competition-Development pilot run by Football Canada in February of 2014.
“Football Canada is committed to improving the sport through coach education and these latest events help provide those that work with post-secondary and high-performance athletes with development opportunities,” said Aaron Geisler, technical coordinator of Football Canada.
“The knowledge and training gained within this context is integral as it provides this group of high level coaches with the tools, certification and accreditation necessary to become professional coaches.”
