Saskatchewan dominates Day 1 action at 2017 Flag Nationals
Saskatchewan was on a roll on Friday at the 2017 Flag National Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Three of their provincial teams found themselves atop of the standings in Day 1 action.
In the under-18 Male Division, Saskatchewan was ahead of the pack with a perfect 3-0 record. Meanwhile, Manitoba and British Columbia sported 2-1 marks. Quebec, Nova Scotia and Ontario all each had 1-2 records.
Not only was Saskatchewan on top of the male division, but also the under-18 Female Division with a spotless 3-0 mark. Nova Scotia and Ontario weren’t far behind with 2-1 records. Quebec and Manitoba managed 1-2 records while New Brunswick was unable to manage a win and was the bottom of the standings with a 0-3 mark.
As for the under-16 Female Division, Saskatchewan Green was also on top with a undefeated 2-0 record. Quebec Red, Quebec Blue and Saskatchewan White amassed 1-1 marks. Alberta wasn’t able to muster a win, as reflected in the 0-2 record.
Finally, British Columbia White led the under-16 Male Division with a 2-0-1 record. Not far behind was British Columbia Orange with a 1-1-1 mark. Saskatchewan Green was 2-1 while Alberta was 1-1. Saskatchewan While and Manitoba found themselves with a 1-2 record while Nova Scotia was winless with a 0-3 spot.
